Gazebos, Displays, and School Holiday Fun...

It’s been school holidays here in New Zealand so I took a couple of days off each week to have some fun with my sons – we ice skated (again), went on a bush walk/picnic, visited the best lolly shop in New Zealand (Birdwoods), got my car serviced, did a couple of fitness walks on the hill, went dirt track bmxing, and a few other fun things.  In our ‘downtime’ I tackled a couple of Wildflower projects…

Trialled putting up my new gazebo and had a play dressing it with some organza fabric…

Sorted through some shells we found at Papamoa beach recently that I wanted to use in an 'inspiration bowl' on my jewellery making desk - love the scallop shells in particular and some of the weeny shells have holes - I'm thinking a pair of dangly earrings for me with 3-4 shells charm style on chain   …

Made a start on some plywood displays - slowly taking shape, it would be nice if the saw I was using cut in a straight line - can't possibly be the operator!…

Indulged in my passion for wire-work with a couple or three new pendants…

Don't you love the pottery birds (bottom left)?  I have to find out the artist behind these beauties which live at Birdwood Gallery - they're so gorgeous!

If you're in NZ/Aus - what did the school holidays hold for you?

  2. Arbors are decorative lattice type structures that creepers and vines can climb through and make it look more decorative. They make pleasing stand alone structures, also. Arbors create additional spaces for gardening, as they allow vines and climbers, to grow vertically through the latticework
