How to Make Earring Card Displays and Ring Displays…

I’m always keen to find new and effective ways to display my pieces – displays have to be travel and set-up/pack-down friendly, stay standing in gusts of wind and of course show my jewellery off to best advantage for customers.
With my recent stall overhaul I’ve created new earring displays and ring holders and thought I’d share the ‘how-to’s’ for both of them …..

1st… the Earring Card Display

I love this one for it’s simplicity and functionality, not only is it free-standing but can be folded up for transporting or placed in a gift box when the earrings sell or simply reused to display another pair.
Take one piece of card (I used textured binding machine card available from any stationery shop) and measure and cut a strip 26cm x 5cm.
At the 1/2 way point (13cm), use a ruler and a blunt knife and score a line across on the back side of the card (this helps create a smooth fold).
From one end of the card, measure 5.5cm and score a line.  Repeat at the other end of the card.
Fold at all three lines.
Punch two holes and decorate (I use labels with my business name etc)
I use a paper clip to secure but you can also cut halfway along each of the bottom portions and interlock together.

2nd… the Ring Display

Super easy, super effective!
Using a clear binder cover sheet, mark and cut circles measuring 3.5cm
Pinch the sides together and slip your ring on.  The ring holds the plastic in shape and it stands on an angle on its own as pictured appearing almost ‘suspended’ on your table!
Examples of both shown below in my new stall layout…

  1. Great ideas! I especially like the ring display but may be using both ideas if I ever get up the nerve to get a table at a crafts fair.
Thank you SO much for sharing!

    1. You're welcome, I always like to share these things in the hope others will find them as useful as I do! Would love to see what you come up with if you do have a go. Mel :)

  2. What a great idea Mel. I might try your earring idea. I need something for mine, they are currently hanging on a board and not looking that flash. Thank you :)

    1. Jewellery is such a hard thing to display isn't it Tania? You want to show each piece off but not appear cluttered. And don't even get me started about how long it takes to set-up and pack-down - I always laugh when I see other jewellery designers around me at a market and we were the 1st to start setting up and the last to still be packing away!!

  3. Clever and thrifty idea! Looks very professional too. Nice of you to share Mel :)

  4. Love the ring displays, so clever and so easy, and look so good.

  5. Thank you, I have been trying to find a way to display earrings and rings that is easy to pack away at the end of a market day! This is so helpful!

  6. I love the uncluttered look of your displays. Sometimes jewelry displays are overwhelming with so much merchandise.

    1. Thanks so much Pat. I totally agree, jewelry displays can be too full and overwhelming. The best advice I ever had when starting out, was complete your setup then stand in front of it and take 10 things away!!

  7. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I really appreciate it. I can't wait to make some for my earrings. I just started making them so your post helped a lot :)

  8. Thank you for my new way to set up my rings for photos!!

  9. Looks Great!
What size hole punch did you use? Thanks!!!!

  11. Businesses are competing against one another. Even if you have a tough rivalry with businesses, you can always use retail displays to merchandise your products. Ensure and be certain that the wood display is of the best class as this will bring a longer life time of your wooden racks or others racks. Check more here
