Wildflower Designs in a Book!

I was super excited yesterday to receive a book via courier ... not just any book ... a 50 page book filled with my jewellery photos!!  Now before it sounds like someone was so enamoured with my work they just had to photograph it all and immortalise it in print (!) .. no, this is a book I created and ordered on-line courtesy of http://www.photodeals.co.nz/

A few days earlier I had received a promotional email from one of the 'daily deal' type organisations, and with 74 odd % off I purchased vouchers for two - one to do a family photo book, the other for a Wildflower portfolio of sorts.  I was amazed how easy it was to do and you get the choice of backgrounds, fonts, photo placement etc, etc.  I let the site do it's thing and choose where and how to place the photos I had uploaded and then just tweaked a little and added my own front and back book cover layout.

I love it, truly love it.  To have my favourite pieces presented professionally in one book is fab!  I will admit - there is one thing I wish I'd done better and that was placement of the front cover - for some reason it's too far to the left, but oh well - a small thing!  Now - on to sorting out the family book :)

  2. What a fantastic idea Mel. Such a professional way to showcase your best work. How much would they cost to have made?

  4. You betcha Marie - I'll be sure to bring it for our next meeting :)

Isn't it great Bobbie - I can't wait to do my family one too! For a 50page hard cover it's normally $149 each. But I purchased mine via www.grabone.co.nz for $39 each. I've seen them on there before so keep an eye out.

Thanks Denise - how about a Retrofemme book? :)

And what a great idea Louise - taking it to a market would be good. I could put it on a book stand.
