Just a Minute - November

I love the idea of summarizing recent happenings and thoughts in a ‘quick few’ type article and was inspired to take action after reading a great post by Evie Kemp.  Here is the 1st in what I’d like to be a regular post topic.

Reading… currently devouring a recent find from my local library … Blogging for Bliss by Tara Frey.    Personally, blog writing to me is not so much about getting my products out and seen – it’s more a journal of my creative journey and experiences and people I meet along the way :)

Drinking… Oyster Bay Merlot – yummy!  Although with summer fast approaching in this hemisphere, I might have to find a more summery tipple – any suggestions?

Watching… Breakfast TV – the only ‘quiet time’ in our busy household when my children are still asleep, my husband has gone to work, and I’m tapping away at my laptop while catching up with the news of the world.
Loving…Fresh fruit and yoghurt, my new favourite breakfast :)
Learning ... new things at work with a change to my role.. challenging and interesting.
Planning... attending a jewellery retreat early next year, Christmas, and more immediately - how to make enough stock for the 3 events I have crossing over Nov/Dec!

  2. It is a fantastic idea Mel! I think it gives not just your blog readers, but your customers a glimpse of who you are as a person. Might have to tag along and join the "quick few".

  4. yay love reading these and learning a little more about people + getting a few ideas too.
I'm really interested how you find the 'Blogging for Bliss' book...let me know if you recommend it! I originally started blogging as a promotional type thing and then it evolved in to more of a passion in itself. I'm always looking at ways to be a better blogger/writer and to get more out of it though.

Thanks for stopping by my blog too :-)

  7. Great post Mel, I may just follow this suit! People might not say it but they are always interested in the little daily things, such as eating, reading & drinking, and it's lovely to know what your tastes are! Thank you for sharing. xx

  8. Another very interesting post Mel. I do agree with Louise - people are intrigued by the "small details of daily life"... A lovely example of this can be found here http://sotreadsoftly.wordpress.com - the Agnes Coy journal.
